Your course is open to you 24/7 until your end date so you may work when you are able during the day and week. However, you should log-in on a regular basis to complete on time.
Waiting to complete work until the last minute does not allow your teacher enough time to provide feedback about your work.
Your course will include a schedule or a “90 Day Schedule” but this is a guide - your course is NOT 90 days long, it may be SHORTER than 90 days. See your welcome email for the exact end date of your course or visit the Dates and Deadlines page.
Your mentor can provide you with a customized schedule per your request, or you can use the 90 Day Schedule as a checklist to check off items as you work, but keep in mind your course end date which is provided in your BVSD welcome email.
Remember to always reach out to your teacher or your mentor if you have questions. Both are there to help you successfully work through your online course.
Your grade book is listed in the top navigation menu (Navbar) under the title, “Grades.”
Feedback from your teacher will be listed with your graded assignments. Read your teachers feedback so you know how you are doing on your work!
Your course progress is is listed in the top navigation menu (Navbar) under the title, “Progress.” This shows you how you are doing in different aspects of the course. The Summary Tab within the Progress menu is the place to view an overview of your progress. Different grades will be shown in the Summary Tab:
Calculated Grade: your grade based only on completed assignments with grades recorded so far.
Maximum Final:the maximum grade you can earn if you received a 100% on all remaining assignments and extra credit (if allowed). This grade is an estimation and varies on extra credit options from your teacher.
Minimum Final: the grade you would earn if you did not complete any additional work from the time you view the grade until the end date.. This grade will rise as you continue to complete and submit work
Remember, zeros will be entered in the grade book for any missing, incomplete, or unsubmitted items at the end of your course and the zeros are factored into your final grade. Your final grade will be recorded on your cumulative transcript so please be sure to do your very best work.
