Explore the Types of Courses We Offer:

Full Semester

  • Courses are the same as a semester classroom courses but in an online format. 
  • Courses include reading, assignments, quizzes and tests.
  • Many courses are two semesters long consisting of an A (Fall) and B (Spring).
  • Average hours to complete a single course is 70-80 hours.
  • A majority of these courses are accessed through Schoology.

AP & World Languages

  • Courses are the same as a semester classroom course but in an online format. 
  • Courses include reading, assignments, quizzes and tests.
  • Many courses are two semesters long consisting of an A (Fall) and B (Spring).
  • Average hours to complete a single course is 80-100 hours.
  • Students are limited to taking one course at a time. 
  • Many of these courses are accessed through Schoology but some utilize Florida Virtual School or Fuel Education.

Credit Recovery

  • Students must be eligible to take credit recovery style courses:
    • Courses available for previously earned grades of “D” or “F” in the same course.
    • Students with more than 22 absences in previous class taken do not qualify. 
  • Credit recovery courses are an "adaptive release" format.
    • Course units begin with diagnostic assessments before additional content is released.
      • If the student demonstrates mastery of content, they move forward to the next lesson.
      • If the student is deficient in content areas, additional materials are provided for review.
  • 2 sessions are available each term.
  • Average hours to complete a single course is 30-35 hours.
  • Courses are accessed through Fuel Education.
